My manager told me tht I didn't always need to try so hard and I wanted to give him my typical line that I'm not that smart - I just seem that way BECAUSE I work so hard. But there are people who try harder than I do. A girl in my class who does ALL the reading for the course over the previous holiday AND all the secondary/recommended reading. I don't. I do only what is required, just in time for class. Yet, I know the books much better than she does. So maybe I am smart, still I feel I ought to work hard.
